Over 2,300 people had their running and walking shoes and had a fantastic Northern Outlook Pegasus Fun Run / Walk on Sunday 9th October 2011. There was plenty of enjoyment by everyone particpating in this brand new event in a location that included the tracks by Pegasus Lake, passing by the wetlands and through the forest tracks of the Tuhaitara Coastal Park, with stunning views across to the North Canterbury foothills.
With three different course distances including 2.5km, 5km & 10km there was a track to suit every age and fitness level.
Not only was this a family event but it was a great chance to be out with work mates, friends, clients, sports teams and lots of business made a day of it with a corporate/group site.
“Favourite part was that I was able to compete with my two year old daughter”
“The course, it was very well thought out and was a pleasure to run”
“Beautiful day and lots of people having fun”
"Great event which was catered well for all ages and fitness levels”
“I really loved that there was 3 different fun run/walk distances. It's fantastic to see an organisation cater to all fitness levels and encourage participation of those who are normally left out e.g. elderly, disabled, and overweight. Being an overweight person doing your event, I just felt good about the whole thing”
